Diving is a way to explore the underwater world and you can do it in many different ways. PADI Specialty courses teach you the techniques and give you the tools to increase your exploration possibilities.

DEEP DIVER
The charm of depth. When diving, there is something fascinating and mysterious about exploring the deepest sites. Sometimes it is a wreck that attracts you over 18 meters and, during wall dives, it could be a gorgonian or a giant sponge. Whatever it is, to dive safely to 40 meters deep you should enroll in the PADI Deep Diver specialty course.
If you have obtained the PADI Adventure Diver certification or higher and you are at least 15 years old, you can enroll in the Deep Diver course. Your training begins with reviewing the reasons for deep diving and how important it is to know your limits and includes four deep dives with your instructor.
ENRICHED AIR DIVER
The PADI Enriched Air Diver course is the most popular PADI specialty. Because? Because diving with enriched air gives you more non-stop time, especially in repetitive dives. If you are interested in staying in the water longer and returning to dive sooner, then do not hesitate to become an enriched air diver.
If you are at least 12 years old and you are at least PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver, you can enroll in the Enriched Air Diver Specialty course. Note that, in some regions, the minimum age required is higher. In addition to considerations on nitrox equipment, you will learn why, by immersing yourself in air that contains more oxygen and less nitrogen, you have more bottom time. The course includes a practical session and two optional dives.
NIGHT DIVER
Diving at night may seem mysterious and yet very tempting. Although you may have immersed yourself in the same site over and over again, at night you enter a completely different world and see it come alive in the light of your flashlight. When daytime creatures retreat to make way for nighttime creatures, the landscape changes completely. If you've ever wondered what happens underwater after sunset, sign up for the PADI Night Diver specialty course.
If you are at least 12 years old and you are PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver, you can enroll in the PADI Night Diver specialty course. Diving at night makes you concentrate on what you can see thanks to your flashlight, on your attitude control, on the system of couple and paying attention to the details that you could leave out during the day. The course includes three night dives with your instructor.
PEAK PERFORMANCE BUOYANCY
Excellent buoyancy control is what identifies the most experienced divers. You saw them underwater. They glide effortlessly, use less air and go up, down or hover without even thinking about it. They observe aquatic life more calmly, without disturbing their surroundings. You too can achieve all this. The PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy specialty course improves the buoyancy skills you have learned as a novice diver and takes them to a next level.
If you are at least 10 years old and you are PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver, you can enroll in the PADI Peak Perormance Buoyancy course. The course includes two dives with your instructor.
DIVER PROPULSION VEHICLE
For those who dive, underwater vehicles (DPV) offer an exciting way to explore a large area in a short time. They transport you through the water allowing you to glide on the reefs, have fun around a wreck or go zigzag in a kelp forest. Whether you dive from shore or from a boat, a DPV is a fantastic way to explore and have more fun.
If you are 12 years old or older and you are at least a PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver, you can enroll in the PADI DIver Propulsion Vehicle course. The PADI Diver Propulsion Vehicle course helps you choose the right vehicle for you. You will do two dives with your instructor.
DRIFT DIVER
If you dive into rivers and use currents in the oceans to glide, the PADI Drift Diver specialty course teaches you how to enjoy drift diving. Even if you are underwater and you use diving equipment, it will seem like you are flying. Dive diving can be relaxing and simultaneously exciting. If all of this sounds fun to you, then the Drift Diver course is for you.
If you are at least 12 years old and you are PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver, you can enroll in the Drift Diver specialty course. The course includes two drift dives with your instructor.
DRY SUIT DIVER
Do you want to stay warm? Do you want to extend your diving season? So ... dive into the dry. Even in surprisingly cold water, a drysuit isolates you and keeps you in full comfort. In the coldest regions of the world you can make beautiful dives and, in some areas, in the colder months the conditions are even better. Learning to use a drysuit allows you to expand your limits, and immerse yourself in other locations and more often.
If you are at least 10 years old and you are at least a PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver, you can enroll in the Dry Suit Diver course. The first things you will discover are the style of the drysuit and the undersuit best suited to you and the type of diving you do. Then, you will learn how to take care of everything. The course includes two dives in open water, in addition to one in confined waters.
FISH IDENTIFICATION
After a dive, one of the most frequently asked questions is: "What was that fish?" If you want to be a diver who can answer this question, instead of one who does it, then enroll in the Fish Identification Specialty course. When you are able to recognize the creatures you see and identify the main families of fish and their characteristics, you enjoy diving much more.
If you have at least 10 and are at least a PADI (Junior) Open Water Diver, you can enroll in the AWARE - Fish Identification course. After a dive, once you know what type of fish you have seen, it will be much easier for you to identify the exact species. For example, a Caribbean butterfly fish has a shape similar to a butterfly fish in South East Asia, but the colors and streaks may be completely different. If you know which family of fish it belongs to, you can more easily search for the local name or, at least, give some more reference to your instructor.
